Great movie guys, it was good to see that in this world where everyone is paraniod to the point of not leaving the house that you guys embraced the kiwi adventure spirit and just bloody did it.
A mean effort and wish you all the success.

What an adventure. Its great to see kiwis out on bikes and you guys took it by the balls and did it well. If only more of us went out and did trips like that then we could really show the world what kiwis are about. 5 stars guys i look forward to my invite for your next trip. Hope to see the movie back in Dunedin again

The Dunedin showing last night was choice!
Pretty much a soldout cinema, and great bubbly and nibbles.

African Odyssey is a classy production from a talented team. The film has heaps of moments of humour as well as drama, and the beauty of it all will stick with me for a long time (very well framed scenery shots). I also liked the kiwi comments to tape-so real.

Lucky I’ve now got a copy of the dvd so I can rewatch it.
    Thanks for that.

Loved the documentary! Move over Michael Moore! Beautiful Cinematography amazing how just four men can rival a whole movie crew with the shots you were able to capture, you showed Africa to be a beautiful country and showed it in a positive light. Showed the strength of friendship, through hardship and made us laugh when you messed around. Jeremy in the bath in the credits, Julian and his crashes, Nick with your lay back way during stressful situations and Philip’s coping skills the four of you gel so well it made the movie just a pleasure to watch. Well done a truly wonderful documentary!!

    proud of you Nick

Hey, I was just googling the movie “Twice Upon a Caravan” (a solo bike ride from England to America in 1932) and came across your site. Seems like you guys had an awesome ride! Would love to see the movie - are you showing it back in Auckland again? (Can’t make it to Waiheke tomorrow night, I don’t think…)
    Cheers!

Damn - on the night a scruffy fellow walks to my counter at Farmers and tells me I could see a cool movie, I had to work late. I hope to see it in the future. Good on you guys for your sense of adventure. I hope to see the movie if it comes to Wanganui again.

Just seen the Hamilton screening of your odyssey. Thankyou very much for the pre-drinks and nibbles, a nice way to start the evening. The personal introduction to the movie was great: told from the heart. Well done on compiling a fantastic film of your adventures. Deserves an academy award for the stunning scenic shots of Africa. I hope this inspires other kiwis to go out and give things a go. A number 8 wire approach to touring and above all you had fun. Good luck for the rest of your life adventures guys. I will definitely get the DVD.
    All the best:

Hi guys - Just finished watching your DVD and loved it. A guy from work recommended I check it out cos he did the same route about 30 years ago and I’ve been thru eastern & southern africa myself. You guys brought back great memories for both of us so thanks for a couple of hours of great entertainment! I reckon you should do a similar thing thru South America, you make a great team. Cheers, Jeff Baker

I just saw the AO last night here in Sydney. Great stuff, I love seeing people getting up and going on adventures like this - especially when everyone else tells them ‘No’!

Well done on the trip fellas, I know you would have felt a great sense of accomplishment after reaching London (or even after leaving Africa). Although its on a smaller scale, I did Egypt on foot by myself last year and I came back with so many great stories, so I know how great it feels.
Anyway, congrats on the good job well done, and I’ll be sharing this with my friends.
    Peter.
